Consultant and Researcher
My consultancy and research provision supports individuals to combat bullying in education settings and the workplace. The doctorate I have addressed where bullying exists in children’s everyday experiences in school. My book The Teacher's Guide to Resolving School Bullying: Evidence-based Strategies and Pupil-led Interventions has recently been published. The research and anti-bullying strategies I have developed have been published in journal articles and professional magazines. They have also frequently featured in national media such as The Guardian, The Telegraph and BBC Radio 5 Live.
Resolving Bullying in Schools
I specialise in designing, implementing and evaluating evidence-based interventions in schools which place the voices and experiences of the individuals invovled at the forefront of inerventions. The Mentoring for ‘Bullies’ Programme aims to support individuals who persistently engage in bullying to refrain from bullying and interact with others more respectfully.
Tackling Bullying in the Workplace
The services I provide to workplace organisations have developed from my research on bullying and previous work as an equalities officer and trade union representative, and providing consultancy to medical practitioners about workplace bullying.
What is Included in the Anti-bullying Services
The following services are available to children, educators, parents, and staff in the workplace:
- Training on how to recognise bullying and develop evidence-based strategies to resolve it.
- Consultancy work to research the problem of bullying in your organisation and to develop, implement and evaluate bespoke interventions to combat bullying.
- Group support for individuals to develop their strategies to deal with their specific experiences of bullying.
- A mentoring programme for individuals who are persistently engage in bullying, and /or who are bullied.
- Private tuition for individuals on how to deal with their specific experiences of bullying.
- Keynote lectures and seminars.
- Other additional support and advice required for individuals and organisations.
